November Newsletter | A Month of Celebration, Connection, and New Beginnings at Mushunga Community Project

Dear Mushunga Community,

This November has been one of the most memorable months in the history of the Mushunga Community Project. From joyful celebrations in our classrooms to meaningful international connections and a life changing breakthrough in access to clean water, this month has shown what is possible when compassion and purpose come together.

Thank you for the support, encouragement, and love you shared after our October edition. Your messages and prayers continue to strengthen our team and the children we serve every day.

Welcoming Our Board Members: A Visit of Hope and Connection

One of this month’s greatest highlights was the long awaited visit of Mr. Martyn and Mr. Geoff, two dedicated board members whose leadership continues to shape the heart and future of Mushunga.

For Martyn, this visit was a warm return to the project he has supported for years. For Geoff, it marked his very first journey to Mushunga, a powerful opportunity to walk through our classrooms, visit the farm, meet the children, and witness firsthand the transformation he has supported from afar.

Their time with us was filled with meaningful conversations, shared meals, and heartfelt moments with the children. Their presence reminded our team and the project that we are not walking this mission alone but as part of a global family united in hope.

During their visit, we also hosted a special virtual workshop, allowing sponsors and supporters to connect with the team via video call, ask questions, and receive updates on ongoing programs and building plans. Your participation made this gathering truly special.

A Proud Milestone: Top Class Kindergarten Graduation

This November, we celebrated one of the most beautiful moments in a child’s early education, the graduation of Top Class Kindergarten.

Children who once entered our school shy and unsure now stood before us full of confidence, joy, and readiness for Primary One.

Their smiles on graduation day were more than a celebration. They were a reminder of the power of early education, the commitment of our teachers, the love and support of sponsors, and the resilience of the children.

We are deeply grateful to every supporter who played a role in giving these children a strong academic and emotional foundation.

Safe and Clean Water: A New Beginning for Mushunga

We are delighted to share one of the most transformative achievements of our journey, Mushunga now has safe, clean drinking water.

After the drilling was completed, the water was tested and confirmed safe for consumption, marking a major step forward for the project and the wellbeing of our children.

The journey to this success came with challenges. When the drilling team began assessments, we discovered that the project site did not have suitable conditions for drilling. After further analysis, the most reliable water point was identified on our farm, a location that guaranteed strong and clean water.

This decision ensured a sustainable water supply, even though it sits at a distance from the main school and orphanage. Now that the borehole is producing clean water, our next step is to transport this water to the children’s living and learning areas. Planning is already underway to set up a reliable delivery and storage system to make the water fully accessible for daily use.

Clean water brings new hope to Mushunga. It means safe drinking water for every child, healthier food preparation, better hygiene and sanitation, reduced risk of illness, and a more dignified environment for all.

To everyone who donated, prayed, and believed in this project, thank you. Your compassion now flows through Mushunga in the most literal and life giving way.

With Gratitude

From Bridget’s powerful story last month to the joy of this month’s Top Class graduation, from Frank’s uplifting visit to the presence of our board members, and now the blessing of clean water, Mushunga continues to grow through faith, friendship, and shared purpose.

Thank you for standing with us. Thank you for empowering children, strengthening families, and restoring hope in our community.

Together, we are building a brighter future, one child, one classroom, and one act of love at a time.

With warm gratitude,

The Mushunga Community Project Team
