May Update: Construction Begins & New Term Starts Strong at Mushunga!

Dear Mushunga Community,
May has been a month of incredible progress and new beginnings at the Mushunga Community Project! We have some truly exciting news to share with you.
Construction Underway! Building Phase Begins!
We are absolutely thrilled to announce that the first phase of our building project has officially begun! Construction is now underway for Classroom Block D and Toilet Block 2. This monumental step is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire Mushunga Community Project team and the incredible generosity of our supporters who helped raise the necessary funds.
We want to take this opportunity to wholeheartedly congratulate the Mushunga Community Project and its tireless Team Members for their unwavering commitment and hard work in fundraising and navigating all the processes that made this possible.
We kicked off the project with ground clearing, and it's already amazing to see the site taking shape. The kids and the entire team are overjoyed to witness this significant milestone achieved. A huge thank you to our dedicated team for their tireless efforts and commitment!
Second Term Begins with Resources for Our Students!
The second school term commenced on the 26th of May, 2025, and we were able to provide all our students (children in the program) with the essential materials they need to succeed. Thanks to your support, each child received test books, pens, soap, jerry (lotion), shoe polish, and other crucial school necessities, ensuring they are well-equipped to learn and thrive this term.
Looking Ahead:
We are filled with hope and excitement as we watch the construction progress and see our children return to school with the resources they need.
We're also eagerly anticipating the visit this June from our esteemed Board Members, Mr. Martyn and Mr. Geoff! During their visit, they'll be discussing the progress of our farm project and meeting with all our dedicated staff. They also plan to engage with the local administration to explore avenues for additional support for Mushunga. We'll keep you updated on all the developments.
