How to help

Our first priority is to have all of our children sponsored.  The cost of sponsoring a Kindergarten through Primary school student is US $35 per month

Once your child starts Secondary education the cost increases to US $45 per month which covers the extra expenses of education through adolescence, including the higher school fees and supplies as they study more subjects and engage more within the community.

Your monthly contribution will provide basic necessities like maize flour, beans, rice, peanuts, meats, fresh fruit and vegetables,  soap and toiletries, everyday clothing and basic medical services. School fees, uniform including skirts, shirts, trousers, shoes, socks and stationery requirements are also included.

To sponsor a child please hit the "Let's Chat" button or send us a message via our "Contact" page or go to our Sponsor page, select the child you want to support then go to our Donate page to sign up for a recurring monthly payment.

Other Ways To Help

We are a small but growing organisation, motivated by a dedicated team of young leaders in Mushunga, Ibanda, Uganda.  We are also a group of dedicated individuals from across the world, working together to create change and improve the lifelong prospects of the children, widows and under privileged people we are supporting. We would be grateful for your support in joining us as a Patron of our organisation.

Many people in the local community are living in poverty with no way out.  Many others suffer from HIV/AIDS and other diseases and cannot afford the treatment they need.  Several of our children have lost parents to HIV/AIDS, alcoholism and drug abuse.  Some parents are in prison or have deserted their family or left children behind, never returning for them.  These are the children our Founder, Tonny Mutekyereze has committed to care for.

Sponsorship

GCO kids get blankets.jpg

We are at capacity, supporting 15 orphans and 22 vulnerable children from the Mushunga village community. We need sponsors for those who are not yet supported to ensure the continuation of food, supplies and services. The first 12 children moved to their new home in February 2023 after all Government accreditation was satisfied.  Our founder, Tonny Mutekyereze, is managing the Orphanage site with his wonderful support team.

Education

"Victorious Community School".  opened in Feb. 2023 and we have 65 children in attendance (including our orphans who live on site) from Kindergarten to Grade 2.  We have employed 4 school teachers who are teaching and encouraging our children. Some of these children have never been to school and have years of catching up to do. Your support allows these children to continue with their learning and maintain their important peer relationships.

Self-sufficiency

Land Inspection.jpg

We now own a plot of fertile land that we are developing to provide food for our children and will acquire more land as we can. We plan to grow food crops, raise chickens and other livestock in the future. Fencing is an immediate issue to protect the crops from animals and thieves.  We need water tanks to store and supplement the council supply. Right now you can donate to this fund to get things in the ground and growing.
